Continuing Workforce Education
Course Fees for continuing workforce education shall be locally determined based on Section 1009.22 (3)(b) Florida Statutes. Fees will be on a cost-recovery basis, in which at least fifty percent of the expenditures for the program will be recovered from the fees.

Note: The tuition, out-of-state, and lab fees are refundable. Fees are payable in United States currency, money orders, and/or bank drafts drawn on United States banks.

Financial Assistance

Seminole Community College realizes that some students would not be able to attend college without some form of financial assistance. While most of the financial assistance programs offered by the college emphasize serving students with financial need, there are a limited number of scholarships available to students based on academic achievement or merit. Refund Policy

In order to receive a refund, a student must officially drop the course(s). The drop date will be determined by the date the official drop is received in the Registration Office. To be eligible for a refund, drop forms must be received prior to the published deadline.

Student refunds will be disbursed using the same form of payment as the original transaction (i.e. if a student pays for a class with a credit card and then receives Financial Aid or drops the class, the refund will be processed back to that same credit card.)

Note: The matriculation, tuition, scholarship fee, and lab fees are refundable. The college application fee and late registration fee are non-refundable except in cases caused by cancellation of courses and/or college error, or the student is denied admission.

*Seminole Community College may refund 100% of the matriculation and tuition fees after the published refund deadline if a student withdraws from a course(s) due to an emergency or extraordinary circumstances. Emergency or extraordinary circumstances must be determined by the College to be exceptional and beyond the student's control, and may include, but are not limited to, serious illness, death, involuntary call to active military duty or other emergency circumstances or extraordinary situations. No refund will be approved unless the student provides the necessary documentation which supports the reason for a refund. If documentation cannot be provided, the request for refund cannot be considered.

Refunds for students receiving Federal Financial Aid: Seminole Community College will issue pro rata refunds after the official refund deadline pursuant to United States Department of Education requirements. Information on pro rata refunds is available from the Office of Finance and Budget and the Financial Aid Office.
