Fire Science

Our society depends on those skilled in fire science to maintain the safety, security and welfare of our communities. An A.S. degree in fire science technology from Seminole Community College prepares students for rewarding careers in fire services. SCC's Fire Academy is a regional firefighter training facility that prepares students for such careers as:

  • Professional firefighters
  • Fire safety inspectors
  • Fire apparatus operators and emergency vehicle operators (ambulance/rescue)
  • Emergency medical technicians-basic (EMT-B), paramedics and various rescue teams
