Campus Locations

Seminole Community College (SCC) is located in the metropolitan Orlando area in Seminole County, Florida. SCC provides learning opportunities at four campuses, businesses, high schools and numerous outreach centers throughout the County.

Established in 1965, the initial Sanford/Lake Mary Campus resides on 200 acres of beautiful, rolling countryside, 15 miles north of Orlando, bordered by Sanford on the north and Lake Mary on the west.

The Oviedo Campus opened in January 2001, with a complement of college-credit, technical, continuing education and personal enrichment class offerings. Oviedo, the fastest growing city in the County, experienced 91 percent growth from 1990-1999. This campus is nestled just three miles north of the University of Central Florida and 17 miles northeast of Orlando.

The Center for Economic Development at Heathrow was opened in 2007. This facility, in addition to housing SCC's third major campus in Seminole County, also includes an economic development suite. A first-of-its-kind public/private partnership, this arrangement is expected to strengthen Central Florida's economic development efforts and produce highly skilled workers to attract high-paying jobs to the area.

In January 2008, SCC opened its newest campus in Altamonte Springs. This campus is the first phase in an ongoing major expansion into Southwest Seminole County, an area that includes nearly a quarter of a million residents.

The Florida High Tech Corridor cuts through Seminole County, fostering the explosion of high-tech industrial growth, which has taken several forms. Most notable is the establishment of corporate headquarters for the American Automobile Association (AAA) and the emergence of high-tech manufacturers such as Veritas, Siemens ICN and InterVoice Brite. Expansion of the Orlando Sanford Airport, including the opening of an international complex and enlargement of the domestic terminal, has helped this airport become the state's third-busiest international port of entry. The County's public school system is rated among the highest in Florida and the median household effective buying income is the highest in the region.
